Para 18 - قَدْ اَفْلَحَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

24.35

اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْاَرْضِؕ-مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِیْهَا مِصْبَاحٌؕ-اَلْمِصْبَاحُ فِیْ زُجَاجَةٍؕ-اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّیٌّ یُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَیْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِیَّةٍ وَّ لَا غَرْبِیَّةٍۙ-یَّكَادُ زَیْتُهَا یُضِیْٓءُ وَ لَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌؕ-نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍؕ یَهْدِی اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ یَّشَآءُؕ-وَ یَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ-وَ اللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَیْءٍ عَلِیْمٌۙ (35)

Kanz ul Iman Kanz ul Irfan

English translation of Kanz-ul-Imaan

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth; the example of His light is like a niche in which there is a lamp; the lamp is within a glass vessel; the glass vessel is as if it were a star shining like a pearl, kindled by the blessed olive tree, which is neither of the East nor of the West. It is close that its oil lights up, although the fire does not touch it; light is upon light. Allah guides towards His light whomsoever He wills, and Allah illustrates examples for people, and Allah knows everything.

Commentary

Al-Nūr is one of the names of Allah Almighty, and its meaning here is that Allah Almighty is the Source of guidance in the heavens and the earth; the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth come to the path of truth through His Light, or it means that Allah Almighty is the One Who illuminates the heavens and the earth. Some Quranic commentators interpreted this light to be the Quran, and according to another commentary, this light refers to the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
